Well, it’s not THAT funny.
A couple weeks back I sat down with some girlfriends who were trying to help me get my mind around blogging about my life and business. From an outsider perspective this should be a seemingly easy task for someone who always has a story to tell, loves photographing colorful flowers, and likes a good project.
My life has taken me for a fairly wild ride. I’m full of content, right? Why is this so hard? Where do I start?
I asked my friend, who has a lovely blog herself, “Where did you start? What was your first blog post like?”
She told me it was horrible! She just got something out there and later deleted it. One of my friends then said, “Would you feel better if you knew it was going to suck and you could just delete it later?”… And then it hit me! I’ve been here before… I grabbed my phone and typed in the URL of a secret WordPress blog that I had started years ago and COMPLETELY forgotten about! COMPLETELY! I had to verify that my suspicions were true before screaming to my friends “I have a blog! I have a blog post!” I had created it back in the same month, 4 years prior. May of 2018.
I must have some internal clock that tells me May is the month for 1st blog posts. So here it is. My first blog post from May 27th of 2018. A slightly edited version below (So my grandma can also enjoy it if she wants 😉
I guess I have a blog now.
Well, hey guys! Welcome to my blog!
I will try and keep you posted on all of my projects and adventures. My goal here is to make the best with what I’ve got.
I love crafting, gardening, and processing the hoard!
I want to justify my love for thrifting, yard sales, and just generally taking on a lot of crap that I think could somehow be useful.
I’ve got a lot of everything and very little time to deal with it all. When I’m being productive, It’s usually because I’m avoiding something else. For example, Fathers Day is almost here and I was supposed to be making loads of manly things today!
It was a super hot day here (in 2018), so there was no risk of me working in the garden all day (and certainly no danger of me cleaning my house!). So, this is what I’m doing. Something I’ve been meaning to do for a few years now.
I hope you will find it all slightly entertaining.
Thanks for stopping by!
